Amplo Global CSR Partnership
Amplo Global firmly believes in the principles of social, economic and educational equity-based development. The organization has developed its CSR policy framework in alignment with UNSDG 2030. Amplo Global is committed towards developing a well-designed CSR implementation program that integrates economic, social and environmental intervention helping to create an ecosystem where communities already suffering from the impact of skewed economic and social development can overcome those obstacles.
Amplo Global chooses its on-ground implementation partners such that their vision is aligned with Amplo’s. Amplo Global then supports, mentors and strengthens these organizations by providing them technical, conceptual and financial resources.
In West Bengal, India, one of Amplo Global’s implementation partners is Ahana, an organization based out of Kolkata, India. Ahana, literally meaning the first ray of the sun, is dedicated towards uplift, welfare and empowerment of women and girls living in harmful and precarious situations. Ahana is enabling the women living in distress, access education, nutrition and healthcare. Ahana is also committed to promote sustainable and valued livelihood options for these women.
Ahana in collaboration with Ranjit Jharna Kansai foundation is currently focusing on the livelihood skills training and upgradation of the Malakar communities living in Bonbohal, Gopalpur, Dubkidih and Chakaltor villages in Purulia district in West Bengal, India. The members of Malakar communities in these villages make beautiful zinc-based artefacts meant for daily usage as well as artistic production. However, the extreme poverty, vulnerability and lack of opportunity had slowly diminished this beautiful sustainable tradition of handicraft. Ahana, Ranjit Jharna Kansai Foundation and Amplo Global have come forward in creating the opportunities for employment and income from these crafts. Plan is to sustain this art form as an economic activity by enhancing its market, both domestically and internationally. Goal is to preserve the traditional beauty and skills of arts, threatened by extinction and make them once again an integral part of daily life in Purulia.
Amplo Global and Ahana are also working with Hill Social Welfare Society (HSWS) in the hilly areas of West Bengal, where people’s lives and livelihoods have already been affected by the prolonged closure of tourism as well as the local tea gardens, for the last two years, which were their only source of living. Now, the unrelenting rainfall over the hills has created a mishap in the lives of the people living in the hills of West Bengal. In this grave situation, Amplo Global is lending a helping hand by donating a generous amount so that the need for food, shelter, and everything that they need is available to them.
Amplo Global and Ahana are paying attention to what people need and what predicament are those people going through to upgrade their livelihoods and stand beside them. Amplo Global has committed towards the uplift of the communities. Focus is to create an ecosystem leading to a self-sustainable value chain. Amplo Global’s social entrepreneurial mindshare along with various social impact start-ups are making a mark towards a better planet to live in.
